I agree. Seven kicked ass! I didn't want to see it at first, because the
scenes in the commercial looked so dark and gloomy, but my brother saw it
first and started telling me about it, so I saw it. I don't mind gore and
extreme violence, as long as it serves a purpose in the plot, and it's well
done. Like A Clockwork Orange - "a little of the old ultra-violence"! That's
also a cool movie, but not because of the violence, because of the irony of it
all. He starts off being really savage, but liking classical music, and after
they deprogram him he can't do anything violent or listen to that one song
without becoming physically ill. And all the people he took advantage of get
revenge on him while he's helpless. Cool movie. One of McDowel's (sp?) best
roles.
