I wouldn't go so far as to say that the Death Row family has their own style;
listen to any of Too $hort's records and they sound pretty similar. Aside
from the pimp talk, a lot of it is the same laid back g-funk sound that the
Death Row family is putting out. I really don't care where "hard" rap
started, what I do care about is that rap started in the Bronx, New York,
period. There's a lot of different styles of rap and such but they came later
on.
